Jumper 3/3 from the Nordic jumper series https://www.petiteknit.com/en/products/zipper-sweater-light A thick nordic wool for a more outdoor style jumper.
Third in the three-part series of Nordic jumpers - danish patterns and nordic wool. This one is the Zipper Sweater Light. I'm excited to be finishing this series and using up all the wool I bought. I'll probably do a mini round of left over yarn projects from these three jumpers after that to really get down to zero again.
As seen in pattern guide:

The pattern / instructions

This cabinet is my plan to store all the new tools I've acquired for woodworking, and hopefully some existing tools like my sewing machine. I know its a big project, but I think it'll be a good all-rounder to learn a few new skills and techniques.
After lots of research on wood… I’ve come back to plywood from Wickes. Ha, oh dear… It just gets crazy expensive when I look elsewhere. I’m sure there are suppliers ou...

Throwing in two side projects, while my tool cupboard is underway.
Throwing in two side projects, while my tool cupboard is underway. I was going to have a lot of the thin 6mm plywood left over, so while I had it on the table to cut it down, I thought I might as well make some smaller things out of it, and practice some skills e.g. the router.
These boxes did the trick in that they were satisfyingly small enough to complete in a few days. I still have to figure out the joinery somewhat, as the plywood is too thin to use screws onto eachother. I needed a thicker piece of wood to hold each corner together.
While putting together the corners, I did feel the need for some corner clamps. It was quite fiddly to get everything lined up...

Part of Nordic jumper series, two of three Pattern: https://www.petiteknit.com/en/products/scotty-sweater
This is the second in a three part series of Nordic inspired sweaters, the first one was the Rikke sweater. All jumpers are Danish designers and Nordic wool. This one is made with one strand of 50% Gotland and 50% Merino wool, and one strand of kid silk. The pattern is by petite knit, and here is the pattern picture.
I'm going to knit and XS since I like a smaller fit.

Before I go head first into the tool cabinet dovetailing, I'm going to create a practice box with some scrap plywood. I'll create the for dovetail corners on the sides and nail on a base. Simple box without much of a plan of what to do with it, but I'll be able to practice dovetails, using the template / guide I've created.
This is a quick little project to practice dovetails before the real project of the tool cupboard. This turned out much more difficult than expected... Well, I did expect it to be difficult and given how hard it is to just saw in a straight line, a perfect dovetail joint definitely wouldn't be beginner-friendly.
I tried out a few joints, testing out different measurements and methods as I went. Hodge podging my way through making the joints fit, until eventually, I decided to downgrade myself to straight box joints. These are simpler 90 degree cuts, with much less room for error. Although still no piece of cake!
Eventually, I achieved a reasonable box joint, ...

Two mini projects I'd like to do here. One is the dovetail template. This will help me draw out the same angles each time. I could make 3 - one 1:6 one 1:7 and one 1:8. The 1:7 is the angle that is used most I believe. The second is a dovetail guide, this i a guide for the saw cut, to make sure you do an accurate angled saw cut each time. Probably even more helpful than the template, but maybe doesn't last as long.
