This is the pattern I followed
This blouse has a lace pattern on the front, something which I haven't knit before. That was a great experience to try. It did mean a lot of looking at the pattern to make sure I'm not doing anything wrong. I don't think I ever got to a stage where I had memorised it. The rest of the blouse was simple stockinette stitch.
Half way through this project I left the yarn I was working with in Belgium so couldn't continue. A few weeks later though I went back to pick it up so was able to continue and finish it off. The sleeves are supposed to be more puffy I think, and although the sleeve cuffs are supposed to sinch it in, mine is maybe one or two stitches too tight.
I knit the collar inside out. Silly I didn't notice until it was almost done. From the picture you can see the collar side is purl stitches instead of knit. It could be style choice... I tried to unravel it, but this is single Mohair and it was impossible. I left it as is instead, maybe one day I'll go back and fix it if if bothers me.
In the block process I stretched it out a bit as I thought it might be on the small side. The stretching did the trick. And while it's still snug on the body, is a blouse so I think supposed to be. I will need to wear something soft underneat, as it will be scratchy, especially around the ribs.
The mohair (the sleeves and collar) vs the wool (the main body) is slightly off in colour matching. Which isn't intentional. It's just hard to get a perfect match. The colour is not my favourite. It's not a garment I would wear regularly. Let's see in the autumn if I get some wear out of it.

Hi there I'm Charlotte from London and I am a Millennial hobbiest. By that I mean I love making things, for both the process and the outcomes. On this blog I talk about all the things I'm working on and learning each week. On some projects I will go into a bit more detail on what I did and my experience through it.
Some facts about me:
- I am not a perfectionist, preferring to complete something than to attempt to make something flawless.
- I am in a constant cycle of building up inspiration, executing the ideas, then winding down to reflect and regenerate.
- I am interested in almost anything that can be made from scratch using nature / natural materials.
