[Pro Blog Project]
This is a free Ravelry pattern. I made this was home spun cotton. I love how it turned out, its cropped, perfect for summer basic top. The fact its home spun and knit gives the basic style a bit of flair I think. I do wear it alot in the summer. Would definitely make it again.
I will say, spinning cotton is not that fun. It took me a while to get used to it... The staple length is so short that you can't really draft at all. The best method I found is to split the roving (it came as) vertically until you have a very thin strand, as thin as your can go really. Then its minimal drafting and you can get a nice thin single thread.

Hi there I'm Charlotte from London and I am a Millennial hobbiest. By that I mean I love making things, for both the process and the outcomes. On this blog I talk about all the things I'm working on and learning each week. On some projects I will go into a bit more detail on what I did and my experience through it.
Some facts about me:
- I am not a perfectionist, preferring to complete something than to attempt to make something flawless.
- I am in a constant cycle of building up inspiration, executing the ideas, then winding down to reflect and regenerate.
- I am interested in almost anything that can be made from scratch using nature / natural materials.
