Newsletter - Little Progress

I’ve had a busy two weeks in my non-crafting world, but I have managed to knit and crochet a little bit. I have a recurring project with plastic waste that I turn in stuffing material. Usually I make pouffes, but I have so many, I’m trying to make other things. This time I made a crochet cushion out of thick macrame cord. I was inspired by the same geometric patterns as the knit blanket I’m making. It didn’t take too long and I was able to use up a good amount of plastic, and I am happy with the result, but I probably won’t make it again… The macrame cord is expensive quite expensive for the cushion size; around 5 balls at £12 each... A bit pricey.

I’ve progressd a little with the blanket squares, but not much.

I have plans on the field, building a wooden storage compartment. I’d also like to mve some plants from my garden at home to the field, including strawberry plants. I’d also like to buy more hedge plants and continue the hedge line down field, and add a couple more berry plants. I’ve got some time still for that though, so no rush.

I wish I had more to say this week, but that’s it!

Hi there I'm Charlotte from London and I am a Millennial hobbiest. By that I mean I love making things, for both the process and the outcomes. On this blog I talk about all the things I'm working on and learning each week. On some projects I will go into a bit more detail on what I did and my experience through it.

Some facts about me:

- I am not a perfectionist, preferring to complete something than to attempt to make something flawless.

- I am in a constant cycle of building up inspiration, executing the ideas, then winding down to reflect and regenerate.

- I am interested in almost anything that can be made from scratch using nature / natural materials.
