Overview
- Using the Snow Sweater pattern for the shape and this Yarn.
- Instead of the snow details I did a pearl striping detail, which I thought would make it more interesting.
- Adjustment: For the body I did even stitches (not increases) like the pattern suggests.

I'm going with the pattern on the right for instructions (Knitting for Olive - Snow Sweater), and the picture on the left of the garment texture to make it a bit more interesting. I have bought a green-blue yarn.

Started with an Italian cast on, instead of normal cast on as is my preferred method now. Started with a size 4, which was my first mistake, I was going for size 6. It's so easy to do the wrong thing sometimes... Luckily I saw my nephew today and had an early chance to test the fit of the neck collar, which appeared way way too small. Couldn't get it over his head. So I unwound and restarted with a guessimate of about 30% more stitches to start with. Then I continued with making sure I was reading the actual size 6 intructions.
It's a double folded collar, which I really like, its a neat and with the stretch bind on it feels ideal.

Going well so far, its not complicated so I think this will go pretty smoothly.
A week later...
Final Reveal - 6 Jan 25
I stalled a little towards the end. I didn't have a next project to jump to so wasn't in a hurry to finish this. I did though and very happy with the result! I hasn't been tried on yet, so who knows if it will fit. I knit an age 6 size, for a just 5 year old. Hoping it'll last him a year or two.

Hi there I'm Charlotte from London and I am a Millennial hobbiest. By that I mean I love making things, for both the process and the outcomes. On this blog I talk about all the things I'm working on and learning each week. On some projects I will go into a bit more detail on what I did and my experience through it.
Some facts about me:
- I am not a perfectionist, preferring to complete something than to attempt to make something flawless.
- I am in a constant cycle of building up inspiration, executing the ideas, then winding down to reflect and regenerate.
- I am interested in almost anything that can be made from scratch using nature / natural materials.
